Code of conduct for reviewers
The manuscript reviewers of Anales Médicos are committed to observe the following precepts:
- Confidentiality
- Cordiality
- Opportunity
- Objectivity
- Impartiality
- Liability
- Integrity
- Justice
In any case, potential conflicts of interest must be declared. Editors should be aware that the use of artificial intelligence for manuscript review may constitute a breach of confidentiality terms. Reviewers must seek permission from the editor-in-chief if they wish to employ artificial intelligence tools for manuscript review.

They will evaluate the manuscript according to its:
- Originality
- Topicality
- Relevance
- Clarity
- Transparency
- Relevance
- Scientific contribution
- Adherence to ethical principles
- Methodological quality
They must report to the editor any suspected misconduct by the authors, such as:
- Plagiarism
- Lack of adherence to international ethical considerations in their research development
- Data fragmentation
- Manipulation, falsification or appropriation of data, figures, tables, or images
- Use of materials without authorization from the intellectual author
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Citation tampering, including unwarranted self-citation
- Omission of relevant information
- Manipulation in the list of authors
